Base Preparation
Your new building will require a suitable base for it to sit on, concrete or paving slabs would be suitable.
Both of these options should be put down to the same dimensions of the floor of the ordered building (please ask for sizes). They must both be flat and level, not too close to any walls or fences as all buildings have roof overhangs.
A 15" gap all around would be ideal.
Please do not put a fall of any kind when laying your base as this will cause the building to lean.
If you have an existing base or patio area which is bigger than your new building we would recommend treated bearers be used to site the building on. This will help protect the floor from rotting.

All of our timber floors have joists nailed to the underside. They are approx. 12" apart for extra strength.
3 x 3 treated bearers that sit under and opposite the floor joists.
